This works fine of my iPhone 3GS of iOS4. However there is a problem in iPhone 4S and iOS 5.0.1. I always hear another tone. For example, I play C, but also hear A at same time. Could you please fix this problem.
In the last months this is the app I use more since im studying trumpet scales and fingering. You cant bring real trumpets , this is a good surrogate. You can also play along with your iPod library and that is very good. Unfortunately you cannot consider it a real instrument but its real close, I strongly suggest to the developer to permit simultaneously mouth control with left hand and volume with tilt: the sound will improve and you could obtain the sounds of a real trumpet. Still wondering how could you control pitch bending. Maybe two fingers on left hand, Anyway, Nice app! Need more attention!
As a musician Im blown away by how easy it was to get started playing, and then tweak the controls to really get going. why arent there more iphone musical instruments like this? i havent done much with the online part yet, but I just tried out the midi and was AMAZED at how responsive and fun it is. Apps like this make me believe in the app store again... looking forward to the other instruments these guys have planned.
Only 99 cents for such a great program! It looks really cool and its fun to play. Whether youre an experienced musician or just an iphone owner, check it out!
This is amazing. Im not a real musician, but this is the most fun ever. I can experiment and "play with" it, as well as try to play it. And my kids have a blast making "music" come out of a phone! Wonderful fun, even, or perhaps especially, for someone who plays at music. Sean K
Clever beyond belief! An absolute must for musicians
this is very cool, i love it! i cant believe its only a dollar. im not a musician but i have fun tooling around with it, and i also have snooty music friends that always wants to play with it on my iphone! i cant believe it was only $1. I hope more instruments come out soon!
Contrary to the developers best friends who may have posted the rave reviews, this app is terrible if you are expecting a real trumpet sound. The "trumpet" samples are not much better than a plastic toy trumpet and are not even good examples of a trumpet-like synth. Improve the sound and you will have a nice app. But at the current specs it is a bigger waste of money than a flashlight app.
This is toy trumpet sample I want realistic sample I waste my money
its cool that you can actually play it, all the notes etc. surprised its only 99. yea, the samples dont sound that great on the iPhones speaker...but plug in your buds and its all good baby!!
WIth power comes great responsibility. These immortal words from Spiderman ring as true when contemplating this app as when Spidey was tasked with saving the city. There are a LOT of options, and it took a little while for me to figure out my optimal control setup, but now that I have its pretty slick! Breath control with a headset is the way to go, and then you get the added benefit of your headsets sound quality. The samples arent bad at all. A little reverb goes a long way, too. back to practicing...
I am a lead trumpet player in the countrys # 1 high school band. Honestly, I have to say its quite bad. You should have the ability if u blow softer, you go down the scale. Then the harder you blow, the higher up the scale you go. Please make these changes because that will get people interested in it and it would show how the trumpet really works. I would know.
Change the octive to normal-2 for a Tuba and normal-1 for Baritone.
Lot of fun but why is it set up with the orientation upside down? Should be flipped so you can hold iphone in left hand with hole near your mouth and right hand can function like a normal trumpet. Is it me or am I missing something?
This is very cool app. I myself am a trumpet player and this is very fun. The only downside is not being able to play dynamics with your breath ( a softer sound when you blow softly and the same for playing louder) but you cant complain. Its a trumpet on your freakin phone! Thats awesome... And as the people that only gave this a 1 star rating, they are just ignorant and cant figure out how to work it. Very nice app. Worth the buck.
Not even close to a trumpet sound. Very disappointed.
Best app that realisticly depicts trumpet playing. Alas, the sound is shoddy and could use some work
It is a great concept but is a little tough to use. Sound quality could be better. Look at how well some of the audio vst programs are...there should be a way that the harder you blow the higher it gets. I know it will lack dynamic options but it would be great to just use it to practice things such as Clarke studies and any little technical excercises.
Excellent App!!! But please, in the next update, add higher notes! Like the second A above the staff would be very helpful! :) after that, youll get the 5th star from me.
